Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) decided to lift the ban on alcohol in Saudi Arabia with the aim of attracting more tourists and boosting the Kingdom’s economy in light of the growing economic crisis in the country, well-informed sources revealed.
According to the sources, MBS aims to spread alcohol in the Kingdom to distract young people from their difficult economic and living conditions.
Private security sources earlier revealed that the drug trade is directed in Saudi Arabia by MBS’s inner cycle, including princes and senior officers. MBS has earned billions of dollars from drug trade annually.
The sources pointed out that MBS facilitates drug use among Saudi youths to tighten his grip of power over the Kingdom.
The real problem behind MBS’ open-life style and modernism wave is that it is forced on the Saudi people and not smoothly integrated within a society which is far from being the moderate and inclusive society the Crown Prince envisions.
The second problem is that MBS violated the sanctity and holy status of the Hijaz land for Muslims all over the world.
Establishing tourist resorts and facilitating tourist visas without respecting Islamic teachings has triggered a growing anger among Saudis, warning that MBS’ 2030 vision will only augur destruction more than reconstruction as it allows mixed-gender events, Western clothing, and alcohol drinks.
The reform wave that was imposed on Saudi society since MBS came to power has raised serious concerns among foreign investors, seriously affecting MBS’ projects.
Experts underlined that MBS has two choices either to continue his enforced reform policies on his society which will certainly leave catastrophic outcomes and increasing outrage, or to step back from his projects which will cost the Kingdom heavy losses.
The country that has been better known as the birthplace of Islam than a rave capital has gone through a tremendous makeover since MBS took control of the everyday running of the kingdom in 2017, increasing harassment cases in recent years.
