In response to his claims of maintaining societal peace and the spread of security and safety during the days of his father, King Salman, activists and opponents announced an online campaign on social media pages in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to expose bin Salman’s allegations and reveal the country’s decline due to tyranny, injustice, and societal and moral corruption.
The activists who launched the #security_and_safety campaign said that safety is the feeling of an individual or group of reassurance, spreading trust and love among them, by not betraying each other, eliminating corruption, by removing all that threatens their stability and livelihood, and meeting their physical and psychological requirements; to ensure that they can continue to live in peace.
The tweets wondered about the safety that bin Salman claims to provide for the people, saying: Where is the #security_and_safety!?? Where is the health security? Where is the job security? Where is the economic security? Where is the religious and cultural security? Where is the cybersecurity and privacy? Where is the national, social and individual security?
It is worth noting that after seven years of Salmani and his son’s rule, MBS destruction, killing and violations, the Saudi government began to claim providing the people with safety, which is mostly the security of the ruling regime, not the security of the people.
Over the past period, the government sought to use the phrase “Praise be to God for the blessing of security and safety” to make subconscious of the people believe it, but the reality is that there is absolutely no sense of security in Saudi Arabia.
Al-Houthi bombs the heart of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the infrastructure (national security), harassment, theft and kidnapping are increasing in society (individual security), the phones of citizens are hacked and their information is stolen (cyber security), increasing taxes and the cost of living (economic security), Saudi youth are either unemployed of dong fake jobs (job security), the Jews are in the land of the Two Holy Mosques with a green light from MBS (religious security), the entertainment authority stripped society of its Islamic and Arab identity (cultural security), and citizens and scholars are behind bars for expressing their opinion (social security).
A campaign statement referred to all those violations that the Saudi government is expanding, and an American report refuted the alleged reforms of Mohammed bin Salman, explaining the security and repressive campaigns launched by MBS to silence voices opposing him, whom he killed, tortured and arrested to end freedom of opinion and expression in Saudi Arabia via arbitrary arrests, electronic fly campaigns, assassinations, and spying on activists in Saudi Arabia.
The American Wall Street Journal also reported in a previous report that the reality of Saudi Arabia reveals all attempts to clear the record of Crown Prince Muhammad bin to the world, as Al Saud authorities continue to suppress freedoms and issue prison sentences for activists, even if they prevent a penalty form of execution.
